This card is extra ordinary, because of it's shape. Its longer than normal cards. However the card it self is really beautiful. It shows the romantic city of Venice of Venezia in Italian.

The card was canceled in Padova on 5.05.08. There is also cancellation mark, with the writing Mal Ensamindo A El Salvador C.A. Does anyone know what that means? Thanks Eleue for sending this card!!

Rio de Janeiro

This wonderful card is one of my personal favorites as well. The statue of Christ the Redeemer over looking the city of Rio and the Sugar loaf mountain, a cracking view indeed!

Allianz Arena

Allianz Arena is the home of German Champions Bayern Munich and their cross town rivals 1860 Munich.

I was amused with this card when I received it because there wasn't a stamp on it at all! On closer inspection I figured out that the stamp must have fallen off some where along the way from Germany to Malaysia, because there are parts of cancellation marks on the card, as seen above!Thanks Yukiko for sending this card!

University of Coimbra

A really interesting card, mainly because of the error that occurred during the cancellation of this card! If you look at the stamp it is uncanceled ,but when you look at the front part of the card you notice a cancellation mark! Errors like this don't usual happen. I guess the card was not the right way up when the machine was supposed cancel the stamps! Cool!!

This is a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) card sent from Finland. I am not sure of the place in the card though as it is not mentioned by the sender neither the card makers.

Interesting that the stamp used was a British stamp, so obviously the postage was paid by other method. Nice stamp though, Harry Potter! Thank you Kiti for sending this card!!

Kuressare Bishop Castle

Here is an official postcrossing card sent from Estonia. It shows the Kuressare Bishop Castle in Saaremaa. Just look at the reflection of the castle in the water! Isn't it beautiful?

If you look properly, you will notice that the castle on the postcard and on the right most stamp are the same. The cancellation marks reveal 11.05.08 and the card was canceled in Tallinn ,the capital of Estonia. Thanks Maire!!

Autumn Prague

This card is one of my personal favorites.It is a view of Prague during autumn. The second closest bridge is called the Charles bridge and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The river is named " Vlatva". Prague is a dream city that I wish to visit one day!!

Only one stamp used but the cancellations are perfect! The stamps were canceled in Praha (Prague) on 23.04.08. The express post mark and the hand made priority marks are really nice too! A very special thanks to Eon for sending this card!!

Blue cross flag

The blue cross flag of Finland. Blue according to Ritva ,who sent this card represents lakes and sky and white -the white nights of Finnish summer.

Really nice stamps used. I also like the sticker with the value of 0.05 euros. I only have seen cards from Finland with these stickers, they are a nice innovation indeed. The cancellation marks are really good. Lappenpanta- 15.04.08. Thanks Ritva!!

Nothing special about the stamp.It is a common one from Germany. The cancellation marks are clear though- Briefzentrum 17.03.08. Can anyone tell me what does Briefzentrum mean? I guess it isn't a place is it? because almost all of my German cards have Briefzentrum on it. Anyway, thanks Maren for this card!!

This is an official postcrossing card. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out the name of the sender. However, according to the sender it is a national pastime in Finland to take cruise ships to Estonia and Sweden. Wow, the Finns certainly know how to have some fun.

A nice stamp and a visible cancelation mark that clearly shows that the card was canceled in Helsinki Helsingforg on the 31st March of 2008. Thanks to however sent this, you know who you are!!

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore

This is one of my favorite cards sent from one of my favorite cities - Florence or Firenze in Italian. It was sent by Isabetta and it shows the famous cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It is my dream to visit the cathedral one day!

Santa Maria Magdalena

This card was sent from Zaragoza ,Spain by David. It is a view of the Zaragoza that includes the Santa Maria Magdalena tower, and the Church named "El Pilar " at the back. The tower is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites (WHS)

The stamp used shows a famous Islamic Spanish Scholar-Al-Idrisi, whose contributions where in the field of geography. The cancelation mark is also unique. The one on the right is the one similar to the card sent by Olga also from Spain. I believe it's a special cancelation mark. The card was canceled in Zaragoza on the 15th of April 2008. The magical Bohinj

This is one of my favorites if not the favorite. It is a card of the magical lake Bohinj and it was sent from Slovenia by Leonardo.According to Leonardo,the name Bohinj originates from the word Boh ,an eternal word meaning God. The legend has it that when god was givin g out land to the people,he forgot about a stall, silent ,patient and modest group. He felt pity for them and gave them the most beautiful land of them all, which he spared fro himself-Bohinj.

The stamps were canceled on the 14th of April 2008 in Ljubjana. Beautiful stamps indeed! Thanks alot Leonardo!!

This beautiful card was sent by a Japanese girl now living in Germany,Yukiko. This castle reminds us all of those fairy tales when we used to hear when we were younger,doesn't it?

A nice stamp as well, really liked that she used the stamp together with it's side frame. The cancellation mark is quite clear as you can se the date 19.March 08 and the place it was sent from ...Munich! Thanks Yukiko!!
